Today, Bungie and Activsion have revealed the Worldwide Reveal trailer for the sequel to the 2014 hit, Destiny. Players will be able to take to the stars on Xbox One, PS4, and for the first time in the Destiny franchise, PC.


in Destiny 2, Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.

Also announced today is a free Public Beta that players can gain early access to via pre-ordering at their favorite retailer for all 3 platforms. Available today are the Standard Game; Digital Deluxe Edition which includes the Expansion Pass for Expansions I and II, exclusive in game Legendary Emote, Legendary Sword, and Emblem; the Limited Edition which includes everything from the Digital Deluxe Edition plus Collectors Steel Book, and Cabal-themed Collector’s Box, containing: Booklet with secrets into the Cabal Empire, Cabal Schematic, Collectible Postcard Images, and Cabal Military Pawns; and the Collectors Edition which includes the Limited Edition as well as the Frontier Bag and Frontier Kit which includes the following:

  • Destiny 2 – Frontier Bag
    • Customizable bag that can be worn as a backpack or messenger bag
    • 15” Laptop/Tablet Sleeve with protective pocket slip
  • Frontier Kit, featuring:
    • Solar panel USB charger with built-in light

As previously announced, returning Destiny 1 players will be rewarded in game via yet-specified rewards and will be able to carry their Guardians over from the previous game into Destiny 2, but as the trailer explains, you will be leaving your old loot behind.

Destiny 2 is rumored to be vastly bigger in scope and story than it’s predecessor and have larger, more expansive locations to explore including towns and outposts where players will collect quests, claim rewards and fight the darkness to regain their lost abilities and gain wholly new ones.

Destiny 2 will release worldwide on September 8th, 2017 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
